Stark Industries, Saturday Morning

So, Billy had to admit that Topher was right - the back room at Stark Industries was an awesome place to have sex, especially if you were doing it for the first time. When he woke up, the haze that had permeated so much of his week was gone, but Billy didn't have any regrets.

Well, using his suit jacket as a pillow might not have been the best idea, but that was pretty small compared to the issues that could have cropped up this morning.

As he woke up more, Billy looked over at Topher, trying not to grin too hard, or worry too much about how Topher would be feeling this morning. It wasn't too much to hope he'd be happy, right?

Room 524, Thursday Evening

So far, Billy's classes were pretty cool, even if some of them hadn't been quite what he'd expected, thank you GLaDOS. He was a little nervous about tomorrow though - he had class with Magneto who he might possibly be related to, and that reminded him that Tommy was still ignoring his text messages, if he'd even held on to the cell phone Kate had given him, and all of those thoughts had resulted in Billy spending the evening on his laptop looking at pictures of funny animals on Tumblr.

It was therapeutic, shhh.

New York City, Friday Evening (Fandom Time)

For their part, the Avengers did an admirable job at trying to deal with the Kree and the Skrulls, and their equal insistance that Teddy needed to come along or they'd play out a second war on the Avengers' turf. Captain America was adamant that the only fair option was for Teddy to stay where he was, on Earth, and it seemed like that option would work, right up until one of the Kree tried to shoot him, and Eli pushed Captain America out of the way, taking the blast instead.

Clearly, Teddy's special brand of stupid had become contagious.

New York City, Friday Afternoon (Fandom Time)

It was only slightly surprising when Tommy chose to be a superhero, given the options Eli had offered, and it was only slightly surprising when Tommy's abilities proved to be majorly useful in rescuing Teddy from the Super-Skrull.

It had been a lot more surprising when the people who successfully got the Super-Skrull off their backs via a well-placed blaster shot turned out to be the Kree, and it had been even more surprising when they'd also claimed Teddy as their own. There was a Romeo and Juliet joke just waiting to be made once the threat of a second Kree-Skrull war on Earth was over, but it didn't seem like that was going to happen any time soon.

It had been very surprising when the Super-Skrull turned out to not be dead, and jumped in front of Teddy to protect him from the blast of a Kree warrior's gun, and it had been very surprising when Teddy insisted on taking the Super-Skrull with them as they tried to escape, because he'd saved Teddy's life or some similar nonsense that Billy didn't understand but didn't have time to argue about, because the Vision was ushering them onto one of the Kree warships, explaining that he could fly it once he accessed the mainframe, while Tommy argued with Cassie that it didn't really count as stealing if they weren't intending to keep the ship.

At this rate, Billy was going to be grounded for at least two lifetimes.

New York City, Thursday Evening (Fandom Time)

What Billy had wanted to do after realizing that the Super-Skrull had kidnapped Teddy was dive out the hole in his apartment wall, with or without the other Young Avengers behind him, and do whatever it took to get Teddy back.

What Billy had to do was try to calm down his mother, who was quickly descending into shock, and finally give in and cast a sleeping spell on her so he and the others could get away.

Look, he was already going to be grounded for the rest of his natural life, so one more transgression on top of everything else couldn't hurt that much.

In which Billy (and the others) meet (finally) another potential Young Avenger. )

New York City, Thursday Morning (Fandom Time)

So, most of Billy's time at home was supposed to be spent with his family, but thankfully, his parents understood that he needed to spend time with his friends too. Especially since they had a very important mission.

"Do you think this counts as stalking?" Billy asked, watching Teddy check the clock on his phone for the umpteenth time as they waited outside Eli's apartment building.

"It's an intervention," Teddy insisted. "He thinks he can't be forgiven for messing up, and he's being stubborn about it."

"Which is a total shock, really," Kate said, smirking from where she was perched against the railing of the apartment building's landing, bouncing rubber bands off the stop sign across the sidewalk.

Billy smirked back at her. "Have I mentioned that you should come visit me at school and meet Hawkeye?"

"Why? So I can take one look at him and burst into tears?" Kate asked. "Unless he's gonna come back with me so he's not dead here? No thanks."

"Anyway," Cassie said sharply, since talking about dead people who weren't her dad wasn't allowed, "it's Eli's own fault that we had to come here. If he'd just answer our texts or our calls--"

"Or Billy's weird emails from school," Teddy suggested.

"Hey! They're not that weird!" He hadn't even mentioned the Umbridge situation, so clearly everyone had gotten off light as of late.

"They're pretty weird, but not as weird as finding you all here."

Eli frowned at the four Young Avengers, who all moved without speaking to stand between him and the front door. It was nice to know that Billy being gone hadn't changed some aspects of teamwork.

Room 524, Monday Afternoon

Billy had always been a fan of low-key birthdays - a little cake, some presents, and that was about it. He'd only had one class today, so now he had all afternoon to do whatever he wanted to celebrate being sixteen. His parents had come through with a bunch of different gift cards, since it was easier for him to pick out what kind of geeky things he wanted than try to explain what he wanted to them, so his current celebration consisted of lying on his bed and scrolling through websites on his laptop. The poor mail carriers were going to hate him in a few days when everything showed up.

Chilly Boulder, Thursday Afternoon

Billy and Topher had originally made plans to go out for an ice cream date over the weekend, but that idea had been hampered by the whole pony thing. So, of course, the day they rescheduled for was the day the island was invaded by goats. Of course.

"Tell me this wasn't our fault?" Billy said, once they were safely inside. He didn't really think it was their fault, but he had to admit, they were getting kind of a strange track record here.

Mars 2112 Restaurant and Bar, NYC, Friday Evening

Considering how much trouble Fandom had given them in getting together in the first place, Billy and Topher had agreed to have their first date away from the island, but it had been Billy's idea to get a portal to his New York, so he could show Topher some of the city (without any encounters with giant rats, he'd promised). He hadn't meant to pick a restaurant that matched the Prom theme - finding someplace where they'd have plenty of nerdy things to talk about and could avoid awkward silences had been his biggest concern.

"The menu looked pretty awesome. Kind of Asian and Indian all together," he said as they were seated. So far, so good.

Around the Dorms, Saturday Morning

When you were the lead singer of a soon-to-be epically famous band, you kind of got used to waking up and not immediately recognizing where you were. Usually though, it didn't take Nikolai this long to get his bearings. He didn't even remember coming into this place last night, let alone staying, and he didn't have the hangover that usually went with getting seriously wasted. While he was here though, he figured he might as well take a look around. Maybe he'd get lucky and end up in someone else's room for a while.

Increasingly-Less-Secret Lab, Warehouse District, Thursday Afternoon

Getting to hang out with Tony, whether it was on the island or in middle-of-nowhere Canada, had made Billy just about the happiest guy ever. But nothing compared with actually getting to see the inside of his lab. It felt like being accepted to the coolest club ever and he was getting to hang out with Ben and Topher on top of it all. Sure, they were the ones playing Tony's video games and poking at his stuff, while Billy kept his hands to himself, nervous he'd break anything he touched, but this was still loads of fun.

Until the alarms went off, at least.

This is why Tony needs more friends with the ability to have bad feelings about things. )
